NEWSLETTER AT THE END OF ACADEMIC YEAR 2012/13
Posted on: 30/07/2013 in News
We have had a very busy year, culminating in various exciting, fun-filled, family/carer participatory activities.
All three sites held French Breakfasts, where parents/carers were invited to share a typical French breakfast of croissants, jam and fruit juice with their children, after which the children delighted in displaying their French speaking and singing talents.
Our annual Sports Day at the Phillimore Recreation Ground was highly successful. We were very lucky with the weather, not too hot, but sunny enough for all concerned. Parents/carers were very supportive and the children really enjoyed seeing their parents running the races too. Certificates and prizes were received by all.
This year, for the first time, we held a Summer Fete at our Aldenham Daycare site. This was very well received by all who attended. Many thanks for the support from Kent Lodge, Shenley and Aldenham parents and families. The children enjoyed the varied activities and games on offer. Many thanks to Barry for the BBQ. The JCB digger was a highlight of the day. £300.00 was raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Another first for Rexton were our Graduation Ceremonies to which the Mayor and Mayoress of Hertsmere and Councillor Peter Wayne very kindly attended to hand out certificates. Children from the nurseries gained places at Haberdasher’s, Goodwyns, Radlett Prep, Manor Lodge, Edge Grove, Aldenham School, St. Johns, Newberries, Hertsmere and Clore Shalom. We wish them and their families well for the future.
The year culminated in End of Term Parties at all three sites.
Many thanks to all our Parents for their kind wishes, lovely cards and generous gifts. We thank all our dedicated, hard working and committed members of staff. We look forward to the future academic year and to welcome all parents both new and old.
